“How to use resin or composite in a way where your tooth looks very natural, and you really can’t tell that anything was done... That’s how I believe dentistry should be done.” - Dr. Sciascia 🦷

Dr. Sciascia recently completed the Art of Resin course with Dr Rhodri Thomas from Wales. The whole philosophy: restorations so seamless, you shouldn’t be able to tell the difference between our work and your natural tooth.

This is the standard we hold ourselves to and why our team is constantly immersing themselves in continuing education opportunities.

Whitening isn't one-size-fits-all, and most of what you've heard about it is incomplete.

Surface stains (coffee, w**e, smoking) sit on your enamel. Deeper discoloration, like tetracycline staining, comes from the dentin layer underneath, which needs a solution that actually penetrates deep enough to work.

One thing we don't recommend: reaching for charcoal or abrasive whitening toothpaste as a daily habit. You're not whitening, you're wearing down your enamel.

There's a treatment that can now reach stains we used to consider permanent... interested? Schedule a consultation and stay tuned for more tips and info. 🦷

Floss or Waterpik? 🤔 Dr. Sciascia breaks down which one actually works better for YOUR mouth.

Mostly natural teeth? Floss wins, it gets up close and personal with your enamel where plaque loves to hide.

Have implants or several crowns? A Waterpik is going to serve you better.

The bottom line: your dental history should decide your tool, not just what’s trending. Questions about your own routine? Drop them below 👇

Stop brushing immediately after your morning coffee. Here’s why. ☕🦷

Coffee is highly acidic, which temporarily softens your tooth enamel. If you brush right away, you’re actually brushing that acid into your teeth and wearing down the enamel.

The American Dental Association - American Dental Association - recommends waiting 30 to 60 minutes after drinking coffee before you brush. This gives your saliva time to neutralize the acid and re-harden your enamel.

What to do instead?
💧 Rinse with water right after you finish your coffee
💧 Wait an hour, then brush!

It's completely normal to need a refresh on past dental work! 🦷

This patient came to us with several failing restorations from a full-mouth rehabilitation completed 10 years ago. We had one major goal: honor her wish to preserve as many of her natural teeth as possible.

Here we are at our first set of temporaries to help design her smile and test drive her new smile. We can't wait to share the final outcome!

“I’ll just wait until it bothers me.” 🦷

We hear this a lot, and we completely understand. It’s tempting to put off a small filling if nothing hurts, especially if you’ve had bad experiences in the chair before.

But here’s the clinical reality of what happens when you wait:

The longer a cavity sits, the deeper it goes. Once it reaches the nerve, you’re often looking at a root canal, which is usually when that notorious tooth pain actually starts.

Treating a cavity while it’s small does two big things for your health:

1️⃣ It preserves as much of your natural, healthy tooth structure as possible.
2️⃣ It prevents the need for more complex, expensive treatments down the road.

We are a completely judgment-free zone. If you have a cavity you’ve been putting off, there is no shame here, let’s just get it taken care of while it’s still an easy, comfortable fix.

“I love people, and I want to make them feel comfortable and have no fear coming to the dentist. We’ve been in the chair too - so we know how you feel.”

Meet Gina, our incredible dental assistant. 💙 If you’ve ever felt anxious about going to the dentist or put off care because of past experiences, Gina is exactly who you want by your side. She knows that stepping into a dental office after a long time can be incredibly intimidating. That’s why her biggest priority is making sure you feel safe, heard, and completely free of judgment.

For patients who are nervous, we do things differently here. We don’t rush. Gina’s approach is simple: come in, let us show you around, sit in the chair for a no-pressure consultation, and just get a feel for our team. You are always in control, and we take it at your pace.

Ready to experience dentistry without the anxiety? New patients are always welcome.
