Your baby's first dental visit might be earlier than you think. 👶

Dr. Eckdahl recommends bringing your little one in before their first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth coming in.

These visits are less about counting teeth and more about making sure everything is developing well, answering your questions, and helping your child feel comfortable at the dentist from the very beginning.

Proud of our very own! 🦷❤️⚖️

Congratulations to Dr. Emily Eckdahl, a general dentist in Brookfield, on being named the WDA Political Action Award recipient!

Dr. Eckdahl serves on the WDA Legislative Advocacy Committee and recently served as the WIDPAC chair. She has also served on the Dental Benefits Plan Committee.

According to Dr. Patrick Tepe who nominated her for the award, "Dr. Eckdahl has shown that if you believe in an idea and have the energy to demonstrate your idea, you can make a difference toward the future of your profession. I believe that her vision will prove to be impactful for fellow dentists, dental businesses and patients for years to come."

Dr. Eckdahl served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association, is a 2022 graduate of the WDA Leadership Academy and completed the WDA/Marquette University School of Dentistry/ACT Dental Entrepreneur Program in 2023.

Congratulations to TMJ4 News reporter Ben Jordan TMJ4 on being named the WDA Media Awareness Award recipient!

In 2026, Ben reported on Delta Dental's purchase of Cherry Tree Dental and consumer complaints regarding a fake dentist in Milwaukee. He is a thorough and responsible investigative reporter who has done an excellent job of bringing these issues to light and also seeking input from the WDA and the local dental community.

Way to go, Ben!

But we have one problem… our porch goose is still nameless!
