Giggles and Grins Pediatric Dentistry 🦷Dr. Becky Kucera 🪥Board Certified Pediatric Dentist 📍Broadview Heights 🥳We can’t wait to see you Hi, I am Dr. Rebecca Kucera. The children call me Dr. Becky.

First, let me say, it is my pleasure and my passion to work with your children and talk with them about their dental health in a safe and fun environment. I am a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). I then chose to specialize in pediatric dentistry. I completed my residency MetroHealth Medical Center/Case Western Rese

rve in Cleveland, Ohio. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. The diverse population I cared for at my rigorous pediatric residency program and then five more years experience in private practice have prepared me for any situation I may encounter in the dental office. I have extensive experience with hospital dentistry and general anesthesia and can provide comprehensive care to medically compromised patients. On a personal note, I am an avid local sports team enthusiast - Go Tribe! Go Browns! Go Cavs! And of course, Go Bucks! I love CrossFit, traveling, and fine dining (I am still learning to cook!)
I hope to make your child's visit a pleasant adventure and thank you for sharing those precious smiles with me!!!

Panoramic x-rays help us see the “big picture” of your child’s growing smile 🦷✨
We typically take these x-rays every 3 to 5 years to monitor growth, development, and how permanent teeth are forming.

One important thing we look closely at is the position and angle of the adult canines.
Sometimes these teeth start heading in the wrong direction, when we notice canines drifting off course, we may refer your child to an orthodontist to determine the best next step.

That may mean simply watching and waiting… or sometimes removing the baby canine to help guide the permanent tooth into a better path of eruption. Teeth tend to follow the “path of least resistance,” so creating space early can make a big difference! 😊

When a cavity is still in the outer layer of the tooth, healthy habits like daily flossing and good home care can help stop it from growing.
But once the cavity spreads into the second layer of the tooth, the damage can no longer be brushed or flossed away and the tooth will need a filling.
That’s why routine checkups and x-rays are so important for growing smiles!

Your mouth is connected to the rest of your body in more ways than people realize. The bacteria and inflammation linked to dental disease don’t just stay in the mouth—they can travel through the bloodstream and affect overall health.
Research continues to show links between poor oral health and conditions involving the heart, brain, and body as a whole. In fact, some of the same harmful bacteria found in dental plaque have also been found in areas affected by heart disease and dementia.
Healthy habits like brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits are about more than just clean teeth—they’re part of taking care of your whole body 🤍🦷

Dr. Becky’s daughter can confirm the easiest way to get through a cleaning is the “Tell, Show, Do” method!

We:
-Tell them what we’re going to do using kid-friendly words.
-Show them the tools and sensations first.
-Do the treatment once they feel comfortable and prepared.
Taking away the “unknown” helps build trust, confidence, and positive dental experiences from the very beginning 🤍
