We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Taylor Erne back to the Avery Dental Group family, not just as part of our team, but now as one of our dentists!

Dr. Erne’s journey in dentistry has truly come full circle. Born and raised in North Royalton and a proud member of the North Royalton High School Class of 2015, she and her family have been patients at Avery Dental Group since she was a small child. At just 16 years old, she also joined our office team while attending the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center’s dental program. Back then, she assisted wherever needed, even working alongside our founder, the late and greatly respected Dr. E Tartara. Those early experiences, paired with growing up as part of our patient family, helped shape her love for dentistry and cemented her feeling that this profession was where she truly belonged.

After earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University in May 2024, Dr. Erne went on to complete a residency at the VA Medical Center of Cleveland, where she expanded her clinical skills and gained valuable experience in serving patients with a wide range of needs. She loved her years in Columbus, taking advantage of her rare free time to explore the city and all it had to offer.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Erne enjoys snowboarding, spending time with her family on the lake, and trying new foods and restaurants. Her down-to-earth personality and enthusiasm for life outside the office are just another reason patients find her so easy to connect with.
What makes Dr. Erne so special isn’t just her skill, but the way she treats every patient like family. Our practice has always been rooted in compassion, understanding, and putting patients first, and Dr. Erne embodies those values wholeheartedly. Even something as simple as being left-handed, an extra challenge in the dental world, has only made her more determined, adaptable, and thoughtful in her approach to patient care.

We are especially proud that Dr. Erne is now working alongside Dr. Kathryn Apotsos, Dr. Thomas Steffas, and Dr. Jonathan Tartara. Having had the privilege of learning from and working with each of them, Dr. Erne fits right in, and the entire team is excited to welcome her back, not just as a colleague, but as family.

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of our founder, Dr. E. Tartara. He was a great clinician, mentor, friend, and family man. He touched so many people’s lives over the years that it is impossible to measure the loss that we now feel. He leaves a legacy of kindness and quality care for us all to strive to achieve. May his memory be eternal!

Avery Dental Group will be closed May 12,13,20, and 25th for repairs to our building/parking lot. We are sorry for the inconvenience…..We truly appreciate your trust in us to serve your dental needs! 🦷

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office and we will take your temperature.
We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social-distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are doing all we can to make sure our patients are comfortable with their visit to the dentist.

At Avery Dental Group, our patients, team members, and community's health is always our number one priority. In accordance with the recommendations of the Ohio State Dental Board, we need to reschedule all non-emergency procedures until further notice.

Don't fret, we will be here, as always, should you have a dental emergency. Please call our office for instructions if you are in need of emergency services.

We will be reaching out to reschedule patients when it is deemed safe to do so. Stay safe and keep smiling!
