The snacks that children consume are a huge factor in their cavity rate. Keep in mind which snacks are healthy for your children and how often they are consuming them throughout the day.
Crunchy carbohydrates like goldfish crackers and pretzels tend to stick in the grooves of our teeth and create cavities. 🍎🧀🥦🥕👍

Dr. Nick spent a little time with a 3/4K class in Reedsville this morning to kick off Children's Dental Health Month. They read a book, learned about healthy foods and sugary drinks, and even learned about some of the differences between our teeth and animal teeth 🦷 🐇🦈

🦷National Children's Dental Health Month is observed every February to raise awareness about the importance of children’s oral hygiene, emphasizing regular dental visits, proper brushing, and flossing to prevent tooth decay, which is a common chronic childhood illness.

If you're lucky you might just get a visit from Dr. Nick at school in the next few weeks to learn all about the the healthy habits that keep your teeth strong and what its like to come visit us at the dentist! 🦷🍎🥦
