Dear Patients,
Regarding: COVID-19
During these uncertain times where our local, state, and federal governments have taken unprecedented measures to help curb the impact of COVID-19 many people wonder what this means for their dental care. Rest assured that our practice will remain open, just as we always have, but this requires us to keep you and our staff healthy as best we can. And this will require us to make some slight temporary changes to our normal protocols.
We are doing everything we possibly can to prevent the spread of COVID-19 amongst patients and staff, in accordance with government recommendations and beyond, while still providing the same level of care to all of our patients. But we need your cooperation in this as well!
Please know these protocols are NOT being put in place to make individuals with symptoms feel isolated or deter them from seeking treatment. These protocols ARE being put into place to try to protect everyone, because if we get sick then we will have to close for two weeks leaving many patients without emergency care.
For the time being:
-To reduce the human contact during this limited time, we ask ALL patients (even those that are symptom free) to attend their appointment by themselves UNLESS you need assistance to get around or are a minor aged patient which requires one parent to attend.
-If you have symptoms including a cough, malaise and fever we ask that you please reschedule any NON-Emergency appointment.
-If you have been exposed to someone who has symptoms then we ask that you please follow the protocol above.
Note: A "short notice" cancellation will NOT result in any fee during this pandemic. However, we do ask that you please notify us if you are not attending your appointment.
-If you have symptoms of cough, shortness of breath, malaise and fever or have been exposed to someone with such symptoms AND have a dental emergency appointment, please notify of us of your symptoms/exposure and a staff member will meet you OUTSIDE at your vehicle and provide you with a face mask and gloves in order for you to safely enter our practice.
As you probably are aware, every treatment room is cleaned thoroughly in its entirety between every patient, as is the entire practice at the end of every day. But, at this time we have ramped up our cleaning even more so. This includes, but is not limited to:
- wiping all counters, cabinets, handles, and hard surface waiting chairs and spraying all waiting room soft surface furniture with cleaning products EPA approved for targeting coronavirus.
- Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk.
- The credit card machine terminal, copier/printer(s) and other devices which patients and staff touch, including pens, will be cleaned between uses with cleaning products that are EPA approved for coronavirus.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us: 810-229-2126 or [email protected]
Please be smart and be healthy!
Sincerely,
Dr. Earnest
