We are currently closed until May 18th as advised by the State Board of Dentistry and the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are hoping to be back in the office on May 18th. However, this could change. We have been trying to reach anyone who is scheduled for treatment so that you can be rescheduled or put on a list to be called at a later date for an appointment. Please call our office number 856-455-7111 if you have an urgent dental emergency. Our answering service will take the call and then notify us so that we can call you back to discuss your emergency. Please follow the advice of the authorities and be safe!

The first priority of a dentist who's treating you for a TMJ disorder will be to give you relief from your symptoms. After you're feeling better, a long-term treatment (like orthotics, reconstruction, or orthodontics) will be planned out.

We recognize that some dental procedures can cause more pain and discomfort than others. This is why we strive to use the laser whenever possible, as it causes less pain than traditional methods.

Some of the most common symptoms of a TMJ disorder are pain when chewing or a clicking noise in the joint. Other signs that there may be a problem include a pain that radiates through the jaw, face, and/or neck, stiffness in the jaw muscle, or a reduction of the range of movement for the jaw.

A dentist can give a patient a sedative in a variety of different ways. Sedatives can be given by the mouth (orally), under the tongue (sublingually), inhaled through the nose, or through the veins (intravenously). The most popular method is orally.

On average we each use 14 inches of dental floss annually. If you don’t floss, you miss cleaning 40% of the surface of your teeth which is why dentists recommend that you brush your teeth and floss twice a day.

If you have dental insurance, regularly scheduled teeth cleaning will help you keep your benefits in place, and prevent inadvertently voiding them should more extensive work be needed. If you suffer from anxiety about visiting the dentist, talk to us about how mild sedation will help.

Did you know that lasers used within the world of dentistry employ the use of gemstones such as garnets, quartz or sapphires? These innovative inventions are changing the shape of dental practice in a way that is wholly beneficial to the patients.
