🦷💙 Happy National Care for Kids Day! 💙🦷

Today is a great reminder that caring for our little ones includes helping them build healthy smiles and healthy habits that can last a lifetime! ✨

Here are a few simple ways to protect your child’s smile:

🪥 Brush twice a day for 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste.
🧵 Floss daily once teeth begin touching.
💧 Choose water often and limit sugary drinks and frequent sweets.
🦷 Keep up with regular dental checkups and cleanings.
🏈 Use a mouthguard during sports and activities where teeth could be injured.
👶 Start good oral-health habits early—little teeth need lots of love too!
💙 Make brushing fun! Brush together, play their favorite song, or use a sticker chart to encourage consistency.

Teaching children to care for their teeth while they’re young helps set them up for a lifetime of healthy smiles. 🥰🦷

Behind every healthy smile is a team committed to keeping our patients safe, healthy, and protected. 💙

Infection control is so much more than cleaning instruments—it includes proper sterilization and disinfection, hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and following safety protocols every single day.

These steps may happen behind the scenes, but they are an essential part of the quality care we provide to every patient who walks through our doors. 🧤🫧🦷

This month, we’re especially thankful for our amazing dental team and the hard work they put in every day to maintain a clean and safe environment for our patients and our community!

Brewton Dental Care is excited to welcome Dr. Shawnah Banks to our dental team. Dr. Banks graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. She then obtained her dental degree from the Dental College of Georgia. Dr. Banks is passionate about preventive care, known for her gentle touch and clear communication. Dr. Banks is a native of a small South Carolina town and is happy to return to a rural area to provide dental care. Outside of work, she is a foodie who loves the beach, concerts and her French Bulldog, Henry.

We’re excited to introduce Rylee, one of the friendly faces at our front desk! 🦷💕

Rylee is a proud W.S. Neal High School graduate and is happily married to her husband, Evanda. Most importantly, she loves Jesus and strives to keep her faith at the center of her life. ✝️🤍

At the office, Rylee loves helping people, meeting new faces, and making every patient feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Her friendly personality makes her a wonderful part of our front desk team!

Outside of work, Rylee loves spending time with her husband, their sweet pup Kujo 🐾, and her favorite little guy—her nephew, Ollie! 🥹💙 She’s very family-oriented and loves making memories with the people who mean the most to her.

Rylee truly enjoys the simple things in life and feels incredibly blessed by the people God has placed in her path. She looks forward to continuing to learn, grow, and make a positive difference wherever life takes her. 🤍✨
