The Position
We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist who is passionate about patient care and wants to build a long-term home in a supportive, team-oriented practice.
Full-time | 36 hours per week
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Shift Pay)
Compensation
$50–$55 per hour, based on experience (top of market for Maine)
$20,000 Sign-On Bonus, paid in milestones:
$6,000 at 90 days
$7,000 at 6 months
$7,000 at 12 months

What You’ll Do
You’ll provide high-quality care in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment with the time and support to do your best work.
Clinical Care & Patient Experience
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts
Monitor and record vital signs and relevant medical information during appointments
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and the oral-systemic health connection
Diagnostics & Treatment Support
Take and develop radiographs and intraoral images while adhering to safety protocols
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
Perform periodontal charting, sealants, fluoride treatments, and periodontal therapy
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in systems like Dentrix
Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
Infection Control & Team Collaboration
Follow infection control protocols using proper sterilization and aseptic techniques
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated patient care
What We’re Looking For
Active Maine RDH license in good standing
CPR/BLS certification
Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures, anatomy, and infection control
Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
Bonus Experience (Preferred but not required):
Experience in a busy dental or clinical setting
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry and age-appropriate patient care
Chairside assisting experience
