EPP is celebrating a major professional milestone for Dr. Jay Hwang, one of our newest associates, a recent endodontic graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, and now a published author in the Journal of Endodontics(!).

His article, “Cytotoxicity and Genotoxicity of Triton All-In-One Irrigation Solution: An In Vitro Study,” contributes meaningful data to ongoing discussions around irrigant safety, biocompatibility, and the future of irrigation protocols.

What makes this achievement truly remarkable is that the Journal of Endodontics is one of the most competitive and highly selective publications in our specialty. As Dr. Terryl Propper shared from her experience serving on the journal’s editorial board, the review process is exceptionally rigorous and only a small fraction of submissions are accepted. Many clinicians work for years to reach this milestone.

EPP is excited to support Dr. Hwang as he excels at Northwest Endodontic Specialists in Woodstock, GA, and continues to make meaningful contributions to our field. Having Jay has been such a great addition to the team, and this achievement just reinforces how lucky we are to have him at EPP. We are excited to cheer him on as he continues to grow. ⭐

🎉Endodontic Practice Partners (EPP) is proud to welcome Blue Water Endodontics in Port Huron and Michigan Endodontics in Warren to our growing national network. With 15 endodontists across 9 strategic locations in the state, EPP continues to be a strong resource for specialists seeking associate opportunities in the Great Lakes State. As our network grows, new positions are expected to open — making this a great time to connect.

Led by Dr. Derik DeConinck and Dr. Steven Fegan, these practices exemplify clinical excellence, strong leadership, and deep community roots. With robust referral pipelines and schedules booked 6–8 weeks in advance, they are well-positioned for continued success.

Dr. DeConinck, who received his Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Michigan in 1998, achieved board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2006, and was inducted as a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy in 2022.

Dr. Fegan earned his Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Detroit in 1991 then went on to serve as a pre-clinical instructor in endodontics. He currently serves as a representative to the Council of Michigan Dental Specialties.

We are thrilled to support Dr. DeConinck and Dr. Fegan as they continue to grow and lead in their communities — with the full strength of EPP behind them.

📣 EPP has expanded in Washington, adding another great location to our partnership network. Welcome Robison Endodontics, founded by none other than Dr. Bart Robison. We are very excited to welcome Dr. Adriana Baiz as his Endodontic Associate and Dr. Janet Miesel as his Periodontal Associate. 🎉

After earning her DDS from Universidad Santa María in her native Venezuela, Dr. Baiz continued her training at Boston University, where she completed a residency in general dentistry and earned a master’s degree in Endodontics. She has since been delivering specialized endodontic care in the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Miesel joins Robison Endodontics with over two decades of experience, beginning her career as a general dentist aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. She earned her DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy and completed a General Practice Residency with the U.S. Navy before pursuing advanced specialty training in periodontics at the University of Washington. Thank you for your service, Dr. Miesel!

A big welcome to our new partner practices in the Greater Memphis area, Mid South Endodontics and North Mississippi Endodontics! This brings EPP to 6 endodontists across 5 locations throughout Tennessee and represents our entry into Mississippi.

Dr. Michael Lowery has been in practice at North Mississippi Endodontics in Southaven, Mississippi since 2006 and opened Mid South Endodontics in Germantown, Tennessee in 2019, where Dr. Jack Klecker has been practicing since 2020. We are thrilled to add very accomplished endodontists, both Tufts University School of Dental Medicine alumni, to our strong group of endodontists.

Dr. Lowery has an MBA, graduated in the top 5% of his class at University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, is Board-Certified, and always looks forward to the next open hunting season.

While at Harvard School of Dental Medicine Dr. Klecker was the President of the Endodontics Journal Club, has received recognition for several research projects, was an accomplished NCAA Division I athlete in Cross Country and Track and Field, has a B.S. in Chemistry, and enjoys homebrewing beer.

INTRODUCING DR. DREW PEARSON

ASSOCIATE ENDODONTIST | CORVALLIS & ALBANY ENDODONTICS

Growing up in Medford, Oregon, Dr. Drew Pearson began his academic journey at Oregon State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He then pursued a master's degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Dr. Pearson attended dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University on a Navy scholarship. After graduating in 2017, he proudly served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for four years, gaining invaluable experience and honing his skills. Following his military service, Dr. Pearson began to specialize in endodontics. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota and served as chief resident.

On a personal note, Dr. Pearson is happily married and has a wonderful daughter. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, biking, fishing, and camping in his free time.
