This patient came to us with significant decay on the lower right. We were able to restore it with one crown and two fillings.

When it comes to repairing teeth, one size doesn't fit all. Some teeth need a crown for full coverage and strength, while others can be repaired with a filling. We always aim for the most conservative approach, using the right material for each situation and preserving as much natural tooth as possible.

When this patient first came in, she'd been told she needed every tooth removed and replaced with implants topped by full sets of artificial teeth. It's a common recommendation, but it's also the most expensive thing you can do in dentistry, and it means a lot of surgery to place all those implants.

Instead of pulling her teeth, we saved the majority of them. Those healthy natural teeth became the anchors for what we call "fixed bridges,” which are permanent replacement teeth that fill in the gaps and are held firmly in place by the teeth around them. (Unlike dentures, which can be removed from the mouth.)

This resulted in far less surgery, a much smaller bill, and a smile that looks and feels completely natural—because a lot of it is natural.

She is absolutely thrilled with how it turned out, and we were able to save her a significant amount of money along the way.

This patient came in with a severely broken front tooth that we were not sure could be saved. Rather than extracting it, we took a different approach, restoring it by fusing two crowns into one and anchoring the broken tooth to the tooth beside it. The result is a strong, sturdy prosthesis that gives this tooth the best chance of surviving long-term. We love finding creative solutions to save teeth whenever possible! After years of metal crowns on this patient's front teeth, the enamel was damaged and the decay had spread to the surrounding teeth as well. We restored all of them with full coverage crowns, cleared out the decay, and the result speaks for itself! These teeth came to us with significant decay, but with the right approach, they were completely savable with chairside fillings in a single visit!

Great dentistry isn't one-size-fits-all. Every tooth has its own story, its own needs, and its own ideal solution. As you can see here, we used two different materials and techniques—by design.
While tooth-colored composite (bonding) is our go-to for most restorations, it's a highly technique-sensitive material that isn't always the best choice in every situation. For the back molar, we chose a material that performs exceptionally well in hard-to-reach areas where moisture control is more challenging, ensuring the tooth has the best possible long-term outcome.

The result? Both teeth are restored, healthy, and looking great. Different materials, same goal: keeping your smile strong for years to come.
