When should you first see the dentist❓

A child should first see the dentist by their first birthday or within 6 months of their first tooth erupting. Early dental visits allow for children to feel comfortable with the dentist and help families learn dental care and tips, starting strong oral hygiene habits off at an early age. 👶🦷

When is it time to switch out my toothbrush ❓

You should change out your toothbrush or electric toothbrush brush head every 3 to 4 months.

Signs it is time to change out your brush:
🪥 Bristles are fraying - Worn brushes with frayed bristles lose their effectiveness and can leave behind plaque and germs.
🪥 After an illness - Germs can stick around on bristles, making it easier to get sick again.

Can’t remember the last time you changed out your toothbrush or electric toothbrush head? 🤔
It’s time to do so! ⏰

🌟 Meet the staff Monday! 🌟

Today we are highlighting our amazing Dental Hygienist, Linda!

It has been my pleasure and honor to work as a Hygienist since 1984. One of my favorite parts about being a Hygienist is the multi-generation relationships that I have developed with the patients and their families over the years.

I grew up on a ranch outside of Malta, MT. Upon graduation, I attended Caroll College in Helena earning a Bachelors of Arts in Dental Hygiene. In 1984 we moved to Bozeman. My husband, Ron, and I got married in 1985 and love adventuring through life together. We have 2 children, Katherine (Keinan) and Andrew (Katie). In 2026, we became Grandparents to our beautiful Granddaughter.

In my spare time I enjoy paper crafting, making hand made cards. We enjoy camping, hiking, boating, riding atvs, volunteering in various capacities with our church community, and spending time in Arizona.

Thank you for all you do, Linda! ❤️

Why do my gums bleed when I brush or floss❓

Gums can bleed for a variety of reasons, from brushing too hard, infrequent flossing, the build-up of plaque along the gumline, as well as the first stage of gum disease. Healthy gums should be pink, firm, and bleed free. Keeping up on daily oral hygiene habits can keep gums healthy and help prevent bleeding. 🪥🦷

Don’t ignore bleeding gums. Call our office to schedule an appointment.
