Small problems can indicate a MUCH bigger issue! These signs are all common indicators of poor sleep in children. What is causing this? The answer is small jaws and a narrow airway. Early intervention is KEY! Come see us for all of the information! Knowledge is power, and the more we know on how to improve our children's breathing and sleeping, the better for long term oral and overall health!

Crowded and rotated baby teeth tell a story of a bigger underlying problem:
1. The jaws are too small.
2. The muscles most likely aren't functioning to their proper capacity.

We can address both of these issues with nocturnal growth guidance in patients as young as 3! This before and after is a 4 year old and in 5 short months we see not only that the teeth aren't as crooked, but that there is also SPACE that did not exist before. Growth guidance helps to train muscles to do their job and also teaches nasal breathing, which is SO important for oral health and development.

Questions?! Call us, we'd love to answer them!

When we look in a child's mouth--the teeth are telling a story. Crowding? Grinding? Mouth breathing? Imprints of the teeth on the tongue? All of this points to a root problem that isn't being talked about--is a child breathing well? If the answer to that question is no, form will follow function and GROWTH WILL CHANGE!! We can help with early, non-invasive intervention that normalizes growth and can help kids get back on track to proper development of the jaws!

"Foundation first, teeth second." - Dr. Kalli Hale

Simple corrections in misaligned bites can make a GIANT difference in growth and development of the jaws. This correction was made with a removable appliance worn ONLY at night!

We think breathing is important! It's a simple concept--you need to breathe to live. Yet we don't think about how it impacts us for life. Mouth breathers will have a lot more dental problems including cavities, red and bleeding gums, cracks in teeth, excessive wear on teeth and more that crops up later in life. Early intervention is key to changing the trajectory of these problems. If we build good nasal breathers, we are ALSO building foundations for BETTER ORAL HEALTH!!!! Double win!

When the permanent teeth are erupting crooked and with no room, the jaws are too small. Traditionally, parents are told to wait until all the permanent teeth come in to address crowding. But now we have another option. Nocturnal growth guidance can facilitate eruption of teeth into the proper position by helping train the muscles to do their job. The benefit? A tooth that starts in the correct position is MORE LIKELY to stay in place!
