Happy 250 America!! On a personal note, this July also marks the 50th anniversary of my siblings and I setting foot in U.S.A to join our parents who were studing and working in Maryland. That July month was filled with fireworks and celebration since it was America's Bicentennial Celebration. Much to our delights we also found ourselves immersed in the American childhood tradition of Halloween 3 months later! Did someone say free candies?!?! Needless to say, we all had plenty of cavities and that started my journey into pediatric dentistry🤣😍 My family is forever grateful to the many opportunities that U.S.A has provided to this immigrant family. It has been a dream come true for my parents. The sacrifices they made to leave a comfortable life back in Taiwan so that their children can dream even bigger dreams did not go to waste. Unfortunately my mother passed in 2000 so she did not get to fully witness all the dreams that came to fruition. Celebrate this special day with your loved ones and remember that Lady Liberty's Beacon will always beckon! Dr. Weng
