🦷 A Message About Patient Safety
You may have seen the recent news story about a dentist reusing anesthetic syringes, which has left many patients needing testing for potential health risks. This is beyond unacceptable and deeply concerning. Stories like this are incredibly frustrating because they erode trust in our profession at a time when many people are already anxious about visiting the dentist.
At our office, we want you to know that patient safety is our top priority and always has been. We never reuse syringes or needles—each one is single-use and sterile. We follow strict infection control protocols that exceed industry standards, including CDC and OSHA guidelines. Every instrument is either disposable or properly sterilized between patients, and our team is rigorously trained on these procedures.
Just like the periodic “radiation scare” stories about dental X-rays, this is an extreme and rare exception—not the standard. The vast majority of dental offices operate with the highest levels of safety and integrity. We understand these stories can create worry, and we’re here to address any questions or concerns you may have.
If you ever have questions about our sterilization processes, infection control, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask. Your health, safety, and peace of mind matter to us.
Thank you for trusting us with your smiles. We’re committed to earning that trust every single day.
