This is what 4 months of growth guidance can do.

28.2 mm ➡️ 38.1 mm

That’s almost 10 mm of expansion in a developing child.

When the upper jaw is narrow, it’s not just about crooked teeth — it can also mean less room for the tongue and airway.

Using a Hyrax expander, we widened the palate to create space for:
✔️ proper tongue posture
✔️ better nasal breathing
✔️ incoming adult teeth
✔️ healthier facial development

And we’re not done yet.

The patient is now in Invisalign First to guide the teeth into position.

I’ll share the final results when treatment is complete — but this transformation after just 4 months is already incredible.

But baby teeth are supposed to have small gaps between them.

Why?

Because baby teeth are smaller than adult teeth.
Those little spaces are nature’s way of making room for what’s coming next.

When there’s no spacing at all, it can be an early sign that the jaw isn’t developing enough width.

And jaw width doesn’t just affect teeth —
it affects tongue posture, nasal breathing, and overall airway development.

This doesn’t mean something is “wrong.”
It just means it’s worth looking at growth early — when guidance is simpler and more effective.

This little patient completed a Hyrax expander followed by Invisalign First in about 10 months total.

We didn’t just “straighten teeth.”
We widened the palate.
We created room for proper tongue posture.
We improved nasal breathing.
We supported long-term facial growth.

When the upper jaw is narrow, it’s not just a crowding issue — it’s often an airway issue.
