For National Dental Hygienist Week, we want to highlight our very own RDH, Audrey! We are so thankful for the support you give our office and our patients! 🙌🦷
Read below to learn more about Audrey and her journey to become a dental hygienist:
⭐️ How long have you been a dental hygienist?
I have been a dental hygienist for over 15 years. I was an assistant prior to deciding to go back to hygiene school. I found through assisting that I loved teeth and oral health. That lead me to wanting to be more involved and independent so I pursued becoming a hygienist.
❤️ What do you love most about being a dental hygieinist?
I love working with individuals with periodontal disease and helping them make changes to improve their oral and systemic health for a better quality of life.
🪥 What's your #1 tip for keeping a healthy smile?
Great home care with brushing and flossing twice a day along with a water irrigator can go a long ways. The mouth is connected to the rest of the body so a good diet, hydration, proper nasal breathing, sleep, and stress management are also important. Oral and systemic health work together.
