"Overall, however, Zandparsa said she came away impressed with the accuracy of the tools and convinced that they can help improve care. She said that will only happen if dentists begin to engage with AI models, report their
failures and weak spots, and help to make them better."
“If we do not integrate it, and we don’t give the AI developer the correct or precise (feedback), we will never get there,” Zandparsa said. “When you put it to work, and people are really testing and trying it, then you see the
obstacles and you can troubleshoot.”

I had the incredible opportunity to present at the inaugural symposium on Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry of Harvard School of Dental Medicine and it left me inspired by the wealth of insights and innovations shared at this remarkable event. This symposium provided an excellent platform for dental researchers, scholars, and industry leaders to come together for dynamic workshops, engaging presentations, and lively idea exchanges. The discussions emphasized the potential of cutting-edge approaches that are set to revolutionize research in the field, opening new doors for early prevention and treatment of oral diseases while addressing health disparities and enhancing oral healthcare access. This exceptional event, brought together brilliant minds and fostered an environment of innovation at the state of art Science and Engineering complex of Harvard University.
