Growing up, she was super self-conscious about her teeth 😬. She rarely smiled in photos and it took a toll on her self-esteem. But once she got braces, everything changed. Let’s talk about bite issues—and why early treatment is EVERYTHING 🦷✨

This beautiful smile belongs to our 35-year-old patient who came to us with a severe Class III malocclusion (aka an underbite) 😬

What does that mean?
A Class III malocclusion happens when the lower jaw sticks out farther than the upper jaw, causing the teeth not to line up properly. This can affect your bite, your jaw function, and even your facial structure over time. Think: difficulty chewing, uneven wear on teeth, TMJ issues, and even changes in your profile.

Here’s the catch:
Because she didn’t receive orthodontic treatment as a child, the misalignment became more severe with age. But she wasn’t giving up on her smile—so she started Invisalign® treatment in 2021 and just completed it this year (cue the happy tears!) 🥹✨

Early intervention is KEY—especially in children and teens 🧒🏽👧🏻
