I love being a dentist. In my career, I have practiced with my father, Dr. Elias Stevens, my sister, Dr. Athena Papas, and own my daughter, Dr. Michelle Stevens. My granddaughter is 6 and has been practicing with a toy dental kit as well. She says she wants to be a dentist as well.:-) We all love dentistry. Btw, I have an uncle and 3 cousins who are dentists as well. Another cousin became a dental lab tech. They shoukd t4st our family to see if there is a genetic component to loving dentistry. ;-)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is initiating a review of the science on fluoride in drinking water. The ADA is urging review to follow rigorous, peer-reviewed scientific standards in its fluoride assessment plan. The ADA submitted written comments to the EPA in June 2025 and is planning to submit additional information this year to reinforce the position that community fluoridated drinking water remains a safe and effective public health measure.
