Dear Boundary County,
As a longtime resident, dentist, and proud parent here in Boundary County, I want to encourage everyone to vote YES on the upcoming Maintenance and Operations Levy.
Although I attended private school growing up, our family chose public education for our kids — and we have seen firsthand the incredible experiences and opportunities our local schools provide. Our children have had amazing teachers, coaches, and mentors who have challenged them academically and helped them grow through sports, activities, and community involvement.
Our public schools are more than just places of learning — they are the heart of our community. In fact, our own church meets at one of the school buildings. It’s a reminder every week that these schools aren’t just for students; they are gathering places that bring people together and strengthen the bonds of our town.
I understand the frustration many feel about how schools are funded at the state level — I share it too. But right now, this levy is the tool we have to protect the programs, staff, and opportunities that make such a difference for our kids, our families, and our community.
Boundary County has always been about stepping up to support what matters most. Let’s continue that tradition. Please join me in voting YES for our students, our schools, and the future of Boundary County.
Sincerely,
Hank Willis
