Twenty years.

Somewhere along the way, I figured out that running a practice comes down to two things. Do the right thing, even when nobody is watching. Tell the truth, even when it is hard.

Those are the only rules that matter to me now.

I am surrounded by doctors and a team who believe the same things. Dr. Tracy Couillard. Dr. Katie Eisberg. Dr. Macie Berry. The hygienists, assistants, and front office team who show up every day and treat your story like it matters. Because it does.

To the families who have trusted us for two decades, thank you. You are the reason I am still doing this work, and I am not done yet.

Wow! 20 years!

20 years ago today we opened our doors for the first time and saw our first two patients. They were two kids at the time, who are now grown and starting their families.

I have always known there are people in the community who may not come to us, but still tell their friends about us. The community support has always been unreal. As we have grown over the years, we have refined our vision, and our Core Values are our driving force behind everything we do.

2. Tell the Truth

And along the way you have supported us. We haven't always gotten it right, but when we haven't, we have made it right. And we appreciate you all so much, for your support.

One of the funny things to me has always been, that I know that there are people who are out there in the community, who may not come to us, but they still tell their friends about us. The community support has always been unreal.

And so, to all of you, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

Today is a day that we stop what we are doing and give thanks. In our lives, so much of what we are thankful for is tied to this dental practice. Our team. Our patients. Our community.

Even though we (Dr. Pugh) own a dental practice, we know that it is not truly ours. God has made us stewards of this practice to provide for 20+ team member families and allow us to touch the lives of so many patients through what we do.

We don’t “do dentistry.”

We transform lives “through dentistry.”

And we would not be able to do what we do without an extraordinary team that buys in and helps us deliver our vision. And we would not be able to do it if we did not have extraordinary patients who also buy into “our way” of providing dentistry.

So, this Thanksgiving, we give thanks for our family, our health, and our provisions. But we are also very much give thanks for all of you who support us. Our hearts are full as we look at the practice that we, all of us, have built together.
So, from Dr. Pugh, and Jody, thank you all!
