There are moments when our community comes together not because we have the right words, but because we simply want our neighbors to know they are not alone. 💔

The Hiner Family Dental family is heartbroken over the loss of Luke Durst. Our thoughts and prayers are with Luke’s family and all those who knew and loved him, as well as the students, faculty, coaches, and families of Cardinal Mooney High School.

We know the entire Youngstown community has a way of standing together when one family is hurting. Today, we are holding the Durst family and the entire Cardinal Mooney community especially close in our hearts.

May they feel surrounded by love, comfort, and the prayers of so many during this incredibly difficult time.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our student, Luke Durst.

Luke was a freshman at Cardinal Mooney and a member of our boy’s soccer team. His loss is heartbreaking, and our entire Mooney family mourns alongside his family, friends, classmates, teammates, teachers, and all those who knew and loved him.

We are incredibly grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love, prayer, and support that has already surrounded our school community. The strength, faith, and compassion shown by so many have meant more than words can express during this incredibly difficult time.

We ask that you continue to surround Luke’s family with love and prayer and continue to pray for our students and staff as we grieve together and support one another in the days ahead.

May God hold Luke in His loving arms and bring comfort and strength to all who are hurting.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

🦷✨ TOOTH TUESDAY: Taking Care of Your Dental Bridge!

Have a dental bridge? Keeping it clean is just as important as caring for your natural teeth! 🪥

A few simple habits can help keep your bridge—and the teeth and gums around it—healthy:

🦷 Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste.
🧵 Clean underneath your bridge using a floss threader, interdental brush, or water flosser.
🩷 Don’t forget your gums! Keeping the gum tissue around your bridge clean helps support a healthy smile.
🍎 Be mindful of sticky or very hard foods that could damage your bridge.
📅 Keep your regular dental visits so we can check your bridge and make sure everything is staying healthy.
