We are excited to announce Dr. Cole Prstojevich will be joining our team January!

Dr. Cole completed his undergraduate at the University of Missouri-Columbia before going on to graduate from University of Missouri -Kansas City. He completed his residency at University Health-Lakewood. His favorite part of dentistry is being able to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

He married his high school sweetheart, Shelby, in 2020 and the couple welcomed their first child, a healthy baby girl named Rowen on August 9th, 2023. They have a lab named Bailey and a cat named Walter. He enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake, barbecuing, golfing, and traveling.

A Notice To Our Patients:

We wanted to inform you of the changes that will be happening at our office in the new year. Dr. Samantha Bornaman will be moving out West to Breckenridge, Colorado!

As many of her patients know, she loves the outdoors and always has a trip lined up to adventure in the woods somewhere. Dr. Sam, her husband, Mike, and their Australian Shepherds Briggs and Hoz are very excited to be immersed in the beauty that Breckenridge has to offer.

Dr. Sam will miss Kansas City and her patients here. She deeply appreciates and cares for each of her patients and is grateful for her time here at Burr Oak Family Dental. She will miss you all and asks to reach out if you are in the Breckenridge area!

Dr. Sam's last day will be December 15th.

Dr. Samantha Bornaman will be joining our practice along side Dr. Mark Monheiser and Dr. Clay Schwinke later this month. Below is a little bit about Dr. Sam so our patients can get to know her.

Dr. Sam was born and raised in Pleasant Hill, MO. She comes from a family that has been in Pleasant Hill for many generations. She found her passion for dentistry during middle school while going through orthodontic treatment. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO graduating on the Dean’s List every semester for all four years. She earned her D.D.S. at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry. While at UMKC she was involved with volunteerism and leadership roles that gave her additional opportunities for growth and giving back to the community. Dr. Sam is looking forward to practicing dentistry in the close-knit community that Blue Springs offers. She is dedicated to providing her patients comprehensive dental care in a comfortable and inviting setting. She enjoys working with children and making them have positive experiences at the dentist. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Mike and Australian Shepherds Hoz and Briggs as well as rock climbing, running, hiking, and attending Chiefs, Royals, and Sporting KC games!
