Well… not exactly.
I hope you stay my patient for a very long time.
I just don’t want to spend that time finding problems, fixing them, and waiting for the next thing to break.
I want to understand why.
Why are you getting cavities?
Why are your gums inflamed?
Why are you clenching?
Why are you waking up with a dry mouth?
Why is your child breathing through their mouth?
Dentistry has gotten very good at repairing disease.
I think we should be even better at preventing it.
That means looking beyond the teeth in front of us. It means looking at how you breathe, how you sleep, your nutrition, your oral microbiome and your habits - How do all of these things show up in your mouth, and then eventually your body?
So yes, I hope I see you for years to come.
I just hope, eventually, there’s a lot less for me to do.
This is preventative dentistry. Welcome to Rituals.
