Bloomfield Pediatric Dentistry is happy to be participating as a drop off location for the annual toy drive held by Bloomfield Center Fire Department & Auxiliary! Help us bless the children in our community with your donation of a new, unwrapped toy! 🚂🧸🪀

We can't believe it's this time of year again already! Starting this week we will be putting boxes out around town for our annual Toy Drive to support Bloomfield Social & Youth Services and the children in our community. We will update with a list of drop off locations soon, and as always you can drop off in the Lobby at Company 1 located at 18 Wintonbury Ave.

If you own a local business and would be interested in having us drop off a box to your location, please reach out!

We will also be accepting monetary donations to shop with! Those can be sent via Venmo to: -Aux-18. Please put "Toy Drive" in the memo section.

Trick or Teeth! Snow White and the dwarves at Bloomfield Pediatric Dentistry wish you a fun, happy . Here are some tips to help your kids (and you) strike a balance between indulging in some sweet treats and keeping teeth healthy during the season of

1. Choose candies that are eaten quickly and are less prone to sticking to teeth, such as chocolate or sugar free gum.

2. Avoid sticky, gummy, chewy candies that can stay on the teeth longer and allow the sugars more time to attack the teeth.

3. Follow up a Halloween treat with a sip of water to help wash away some of the sugars from the teeth OR eat candy during a meal instead of outside of a meal to encourage more salivary flow to wash away sugars.

4. Don't forget to brush and floss!

5. Visit your dentist twice a year for regular checkups and cleanings every 6 months.

Hannah the dental hygienist visited Little Scribbles Childcare and Learning Center in Ellington, CT to teach the preschoolers the importance of good dental health. The children had fun learning about brushing, flossing, and nutrition for healthy teeth and shining smiles! 🦷🪥
