We officially said ‘Happy Retirement’ to Deb this week after 36 years of dedication to LFD! 🥳

She started and ended her career with us and we’re sad to see her go, as I’m sure are her beloved patients, but excited for her new adventure.

April is oral cancer awareness month 🦠

🪥 Part of our job as your oral healthcare team is to be familiar with oral lesions both benign and bad. That’s why during an exam, a dentist (also hygienists too) will look at not only your teeth but your lips, cheeks, tongue and neck too.

Busy week for oral care recognition 🦷

Yesterday was National Dentist’s Day and this week is Dental Assistant Recognition Week!

We greatly appreciate both our doctors and assistants!

Thank you everyone who voted during the pumpkin and gingerbread competitions!! We used the prize money to do a team building outting and had a blast. If you have a big group looking for some fun, I definitely recommend Game Show Battle Rooms!

What is Give Kids a Smile?

The American Dental Association (ADA) recognized that this effort had great potential to raise awareness nationally about the importance of oral health to overall health, and about the staggering need that exists among millions of children who go without care.

Oral health education begins at a young age. The first dental visit should be with the eruption of the first tooth. Not because there’s necessarily a big risk of decay, but to educate proper care and diet along with getting kids comfortable with dental visits. This education is essential as it provides a baseline for future dental care.

We believe that part of the job of a dentist is to educate. Preventative care is huge for us at LFD. Why? We care about your oral health and well being. Plus, in general, preventative care is more affordable than reparative.

We’re proud to be a participating member of Give Kids a Smile. Here’s a compilation event video from today. Spread the news and we hope to have even more kids next year!
