Hey friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted (because ) but with so many new faces around here, I wanted to reintroduce myself.
I’m a former personal trainer turned dentist that decided to blend my passions of health and wellness with dentistry and I became a “biological dentist” about 5 years ago.
Biological dentistry is a weird name that often is interchanged with “wholistic dentistry” or “functional dentistry” but it basically means I practice dentistry in a manner that puts the least amount of toxic burden and stress on your body’s biological domain.
Biological dentistry understands and respects that the mouth has great influence on the rest of your body, and vice versa. What we put in the mouth (or take out) matters, so material selection and thoughtful treatment planning that considers full body impact is front and center as I guide my patients to make the best decisions for their individualized needs.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me chasing my kids around!
My oldest, Chloe, just graduated from highschool and so I’ll be taking a week off in August to fly her to Virginia and help move her into the dorms at Liberty University where she will be studying Biblical Studies.
My middle boy, Connor, will represent the United States at the Four Nations Tournament in Czechia in August as he defends his net in hockey. He does his schooling and training in various parts of the country as he continues to pursue his dream as a goaltender. We try to travel and keep up with him as much as our jobs and lives allow.
My youngest just turned 13 and thankfully- she’s a home body and keeps us entertained every night. I’m so thankful I still have a child in the nest!
My husband and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I couldn’t balance work and home life like I do without his constant help and support- he is my biggest cheerleader and teammate.
I genuinely love getting to know each and every one of my patients - their stories, their struggles, their victories, their families. I reserve extra time in my schedule so no conversation is rushed, leaving no stone unturned in our pursuit of healing and optimal whole body health.
If you’ve ever been curious as to what it looks like to pursue dental care differently then the drill, fill, and bill cycle, I welcome the opportunity to visit either in person or on zoom!
I offer zoom consultations to discuss whatever topic or need you may have in the comfort of your own home.
Just call Root Cause Dentistry and Airway Center at 701-343-9993 and let’s get to know each other and begin the journey of making your mouth the healthiest contribution to your over all health!
Your body will thank you!
