REAL TALK TIME. 🗣️✨
Let’s be honest for a second. When you look at my page, what you see is what you get. I don’t use heavy filters on my work. Have I softened someone’s skin around their eyes after a lash application because they felt a little insecure about a breakout or texture? Sure! ( I’ve even actually had someone comment on a photo from lashes about the persons eye being red. Yes! Because it happens sometimes and it’s REAL!) But completely altering and filtering work until it’s visibly fake? That’s wild to me.
When you book with me, I want you to see the actual, real-life results of what you're paying for. Heavily editing photos only creates false hopes and unrealistic expectations for clients, and frankly, it hurts the industry as a whole.
If you’re currently searching for a provider—whether it’s for lashes, teeth whitening, or permanent makeup—I urge you to REALLY study those advertisement photos. Ask yourself:
* Are these actual results?
* Has this photo been blurred, smoothed, or altered to look flawless?
Nobody is perfect in real life. Skin has texture. Lighting varies. When you’re choosing an artist, keep that in mind!
I commend anyone working in the beauty industry. Let’s be real, it’s a tough business. I’ve owned my business since 2013 and was the very first person in the entire Springfield area to offer teeth whitening outside of a dental office. I’ve seen the struggles, and I’ve felt that defeated feeling more times than I can count. EVERY provider goes through it. But what makes it so much harder on everyone is competing against impossible, filtered standards that aren't even real.
Before you book your next service (or sign up for a training class), do your homework:
* Ask questions about their experience.
* Ask to see raw, unfiltered photos of their work.
* Check how long they’ve actually been offering the service. (If someone just got certified 2 weeks ago, they probably shouldn't be "teaching" a masterclass yet!)
