Dearest patients, family and friends. It has been a month and a half since our founder, beloved dentist, mentor, and my father Dr. Donald LeClair unexpectedly passed away. It has been hard to come up with the words to share with all of you just how much he meant to me and to our business….
Some of you know, but likely not all of you know that my father grew up from humble means, right in Beverly in a family with 10 children. His parents did not have college degrees, nor was there any money set aside for education. My father learned at a young age that education and hard work could take you far. He first earned a degree as a chemical engineer, next an MBA, and finally a doctorate of dental medicine before opening his family dental practice in Beverly.
I have been so blessed to be able to carry on the family tradition, to be able to model my life and my profession after someone who left such a strong impression on this world.
For over 45 years, my father cared for his patients and his wonderful staff. He started with just a few patients in a small office on Knowlton Street. He later purchased the land and built the building on Colon Street where we operate today. What was once a tiny business now cares for a very large portion of our community and the surrounding towns.
We know that my dad was proud of what he built. Proud of the business, proud of the team and proud of the legacy he left behind.
The cards, the memories, the tears, and the stories have filled our office every single day since he left us… and will continue to do so for a very long time. ❤️
Our hearts are broken, but the future is bright. My father left behind big shoes to fill, and I can promise you that I will do my best every day to carry on his tradition of excellence, work ethic, attention to detail, optimism and laughter. It’s what he would want for all of us.
I’m so thankful for my cousin Dr. Nicole LeClair and the rest of our loyal team who have supported me through this difficult time.
It is an honor to continue on this legacy and business for the years to come. Thank you Dad, for everything. 💔❤️🦷
