A smile does not sit on the face in isolation.

This patient had been missing an upper front tooth since childhood. Over time the neighboring teeth drifted into the space, which changed the spacing and the way the smile filled the lower third of the face.

Eight months of orthodontics reopened the space and realigned the arch. Because the site would have required significant bone grafting to support an implant, we placed a three-unit bridge instead— a decision made to keep the gum line predictable. Porcelain veneers were added to harmonize the remaining teeth in shape, proportion, and shade.

By the time he started treatment, his teeth had drifted because the space had been empty so long. There was no longer enough room for a restoration to be placed.

This patient had been missing his front tooth for years— and he wanted a solution.

The first hurdle was the spacing of his teeth. Because there had been a gap in his smile since childhood, his teeth shifted. Over the course of eight months, we corrected the spacing in order to provide enough room to replace the missing tooth.

Typically, the course of action to replace teeth is an implant. However, because this case required significant bone grafting, we opted for a three-unit bridge to preserve a predictable gum line as much as possible.

With additional porcelain veneers, this bridge transformed his smile and solved an issue he had been dealing with for a long time. His new smile is not only complete— it is confident.

Your smile does not live in isolation.

When this patient had to have two front teeth extracted due to a large abscess, we prioritized his health and the function of his mouth— this does not mean, however, that we overlooked aesthetics.

The site could not sustain implants after the abscess left a large hole in his upper jawbone. He sought a solution that minimized surgery while still restoring his smile functionally and visually. We designed a porcelain bridge to preserve his jawbone structure and avoid unpredictable bone grafting. Combined with upper veneers, his new smile is not only healthy, but harmonized.

Eighteen months of hard work and careful planning later, and the result looks effortlessly natural.

The treatment plan you start with is not always the one you finish with.

This patient had two failed root canals that led to an abscess, resulting in the extraction of two front teeth.

The usual treatment course for this case is dental implants— but the abscess had other plans.

Major bone loss in his upper jaw meant he could not sustain dental implants, so we had to change course. A porcelain bridge replaced the missing teeth without relying on his bone structure, sparing him additional surgery and bone grafting.

Eighteen months of care later, his smile is brighter than before.

The right plan is not necessarily the first one, but the one that will work for the patient.
