Titanium implants, like all metal, corrodes, or rusts. We completely stopped placing titanium implants after educating myself. Zirconia/ Ceramic implants address health conscious patients’ needs. Metal free dental implants are made up of the dioxide of zirconium. Zircon is a mineral and is the precursor of zirconium dioxide which is found in nature. Through a complex process of chemical and structural changes, zircon is transformed into zirconium which is a metal close to titanium. Zirconium is further modified by a unique oxidation process into the dioxide of zirconium also called zirconium oxide (ZrO2) or zirconia.

Zirconium dioxide or zirconia is classified as a ceramic. Since this material is nonmetallic it does not conduct electricity or interfere with the body’s own energy systems (meridians), its use as a bioceramic implant helps eliminate concerns about health issues related to the long-term use of metals in the mouth. Zirconia implants are aesthetic, truly biocompatible, and structurally strong enough to safely and predictably replace teeth.

Keeping a dead tooth in your jawbone puts the health of your whole body at risk. Teeth are similar to other organ systems in your body. They also require a blood and nervous supply, lymphatic and venous drainage.
With no more active immune system inside, root canal treated tooth becomes the perfect cave for anaerobic bacteria. The tooth decomposes over time, anaerobic bacteria which do not require oxygen will thrive and excrete toxicity from digesting necrotic tissue that leads to chronic infection. 1 interesting fact: Our cells’ surface contains the MHC complex, a group of genes that code for proteins found on the surfaces of cells, which is necessary for cell self-recognition and recognition of foreign substances and prevention from targeting its own cells.
If the MHC code is changed, our “self-cell” will be attacked by its own immune system. The self cell now becomes a non-self cell. Toxins from heavy metals in dental materials, primarily amalgam (consisting of over 50% of mercury), from root canal treated teeth, can bind to our cells and change the MHC code. If the cell in question is in a muscle cell, this can result in fibromyalgia or MS, if it’s in a nerve cell, this can trigger ALS or Alzheimer’s disease.

 We truly believe in correlation between chronic illnesses and dental etiology. The vast majority of chronic degenerative diseases begin with problems in the mouth. The blood supply in the mouth will take any toxins to the lymphatic system and take it down to the thyroid, thymus, and rest of the body.
