Teeth grinding
• Teeth grinding (bruxism) is involuntary clenching, grinding and gnashing of the teeth that usually happens during sleep.
• Causes can include stress, concentration and it often occurs during sleep and is more likely caused by an abnormal bite or missing or crooked teeth. It can also be caused by a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea.

Dr. Reem Hamade received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Prior to that, she attended Wayne State University for her undergraduate studies where she majored in Biology and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with distinction. Dr. Hamade is licensed in the State of Michigan.
Dr. Hamade provides an approach to her care and treatment that allows her patients to feel at ease during each dental operation. She is very passionate about the treatment she provides and very considerate as to the concerns of each of her patients. Dr. Hamade is thorough and in-depth in her approach to treating patients, and this allows her to give ample time and consideration to each of her patients, providing for a very comfortable experience for everyone.
Dr. Hamade is always continuing her education and expanding her knowledge in the field of dentistry. She has taken many hours of educational courses in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. Through her continued education she has become certified in Invisalign and traditional braces. Dr. Hamade is also an active member of the dental community. She is a part of Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Detroit District Dental Society.
Dr. Hamade loves what she does and is passionate about making people smile and making the dental experience more relaxed and enjoyable for each of her patients.
In her time off, Dr. Hamade enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and traveling.
