Ever wonder why sipping ice water can make your tooth zing? That sensation doesn’t come from the outside of the tooth itself, but from what’s happening deep inside. Tiny channels within the tooth, called dentin tubules, transmit changes that activate nerves, turning temperature shifts into sharp discomfort. It’s a microscopic process with a very noticeable reaction. If you're experiencing this kind of sensitivity, call +1 510-528-4005 to schedule a checkup.
