Welcome back to Sahara’s aligner treatment journey. I actually wanted to show you guys where we are and where we want to go with her treatment plan. Even though she had a lower bonded retainer or fixed retainer, she still had some movement on those lower front teeth she wanted to fix, as well as her upper canines were rotated. I also noticed that her upper front teeth were a little bit flared, meaning leaning out. This is her digital treatment plan, so you can see the attachments in orange, and then on the bottom are those numbers, is the amount of IPR to be done on the bottom so that way I can upright those flared upper incisors. Here you can see the alignment before and after with those canines, and on the bottom, the alignment of the lower.

😁More than just a smile: Ortho isn’t strictly cosmetic—it plays a massive role in improving your bite, function, and overall oral health.

🥪 Aligner wear-time: Skipping your aligners after lunch means less wear time, which ultimately keeps you in your current tray longer. Stick to the schedule!

🪥 White spots/scars: Yes, we talk about hygiene and white spot prevention a hundred times for a reason! Keeping those teeth clean during treatment is key.

💧 Expander care: Got food stuck in your expander? Skip the fingers and reach for a water flosser or mouthwash instead.

📆 RPE/Expanders: Never do more than the assigned amount of turns each day. Always stick strictly to your prescribed schedule and stop turning if you miss your next appointment to prevent over turning.

🦷 Retainers: Done with braces or aligners? That doesn’t mean you’re done with retainers. Remember: nighttime for a lifetime!

Which cleaning level are you? Drop your routine in the comments below 👇

Keep your aligners crystal clear & stain-free with these 3 levels of care:
Level 1 Basic
When: On the go after a quick snack or meal when you don’t have access to a toothbrush.
How: Rinse then thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water. It’s the bare minimum to flush away loose food particles until you can do a full clean.
Level 2 Ideal
When: Ideal right after meals before putting your aligners back in.
How: Gently scrub all surfaces using a soft toothbrush and water.
Skip the toothpaste! Toothpaste contains mild abrasives that create micro-abrasions in the clear plastic—giving plaque and bacteria tiny hidden places to cling to.
Level 3 Deep Clean
When: Daily maintenance for maximum freshness and clarity.
How: Use specialized clear aligner cleaning foam for an easy pump-and-go refresh, or drop them into a mini ultrasonic cleaner. The high-frequency waves lift microscopic debris and bacteria without any manual scrubbing required.
