Hi Facebook Families 🦷! If you have visited our office recently, you will see that our waiting room is still closed, however our office is open and running full steam ahead 🙌! Since opening back up, we continue to take extra measures and precautions to ensure that we are taking every step possible to keep our Malcolm Pediatric Dentistry Families and Employees safe and healthy. If you have an upcoming appointment scheduled, our current process is to have our families remain in their vehicles and text their child's name to our check in phone at 815-520-1755. You will receive notification back when it is your child's turn. Due to keeping in office numbers down, we kindly ask that just the child(ren) with the appointment(s) and one parent or guardian enter the building. Face masks are NOT required for the patients, but ARE required for the parent or guardian. Once your family enters our office, a no- touch temperature will be taken and hand sanitizer will be provided. You will be asked upon arrival, or during phone confirmation, if you, your child, or a member of your household has been exposed to COVID 19 and/or had any symptoms in the past two weeks. If you have any changes to your account; address, phone number, dental insurance - please call us prior to your appointment to update if possible. If welcoming a new family to our office, we ask that you print off the New Patient Packet on our website if you are able - www.mpd4kids.com, otherwise kindly arrive 10mins prior to your appointment and we will bring the New Patient Packet to your car. Once registration and screening is complete, you and your child will then continue on to the clinical as normal! While we have continued to call and reschedule our families that we had missed during our time of shut down, if you have not yet had your appointment rescheduled, please feel free to call our office at any time and we will do our best to find a new time that would work best for you! To the Families of Malcolm Pediatric Dentistry 🦷 We are excited to announce our office will be reopening on Monday, May 18, 2020 for Dental cleanings and Emergency Appointments only!

While we understand that there has been many changes throughout our community the last few months, there is one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety! Our office follows the infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You will find some new changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For Example:
* Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You'll be asked those same screening questions upon arrival and a temp will be taken.
* We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office and masks will be required for our parents.
* Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That may mean that there will be fewer options when scheduling.
* If your child's account requires changes to phone number, addresses, and/or insurance, we ask that you please notify us by phone to make those updates for you.
*We will be requesting that only the child with the appointment and one adult enter our office. If you feel your child is comfortable to enter alone, we encourage this and will notify you when the appointment is completed.
*Upon arrival to your Appointment, we ask that you remain in your vehicle and text your child's name to the following number: 815-520-1755. You will then receive notification when it is ok to enter for your child's appointment.

We greatly appreciate your patience during this time of change as we keep the safety of our families and staff at the highest priority. If your appointment has been recently missed during our shut down, you are welcome to call our office beginning May 18 to reschedule your appointment. We are happy to answer any questions that you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends!
