Warmer weather is the time for sports! If you play a sport, or your child does, make sure to follow these three guidelines for a tooth-happy season:
1️⃣ Wear a mouthguard during practices and games to protect your teeth, lips, tongue, face and jaw against injuries.
2️⃣ Reach for water instead of sugary sports drinks. These drinks are often filled to the brim with sugar and artificial dyes that can weaken enamel and stain your teeth.
3️⃣ Remember to brush and floss daily, and follow other dentist-recommended practices to keep teeth healthy and strong, since weak teeth are more susceptible to injuries.

Spring is here, and with it comes the dreaded allergy season. If you usually have a rough time with seasonal allergies it could have a negative impact on your oral health.
Having a stuffy nose leads to breathing through your mouth, which can lead to dry mouth and increased tooth decay and bad breath. Seasonal allergies can also cause inflammation, and when gums get inflamed and swell, it makes it more difficult to thoroughly brush your teeth.
