Another week at the Kois Center! This time mentoring Biomechanics. First time mentoring in June. What a beautiful boat night … my son made it on the boat with me! Met some dentists from all over the US, Canada, Singapore and Kuwait! So inspiring to meet other like-minded dentists who are eager to learn & do the best for their patients.

55 hours of intense learning, mostly from the amazing John Kois, but also from his son Dean Kois, Adamo Notarantonio & Marta Revilla-Leon. 7am -6pm everyday M-F. That is intense! Brain is exhausted, mind is inspired, and heart is full! ❤️

PNDC!
Our team left the office and ventured into downtown Seattle to the Pacific NW Dental Conference for some fun learning last week. And of course had good food! Fun for our brains and for our tummies!

Beautifying for the summer! 😎🤩😎

She didn’t like the uneven, jagged edges of her front teeth and the gray translucency. All done with ZERO tooth removal, totally additive procedure = as conservative as you can get! She was so super happy! What a fun way to end the day!

A week serving the people in San Luis Rio Colorado in Sonora, Mexico with (MdC). “MdC works on the Mexico side of the US border serving migrant and refugee families, primarily from Southern Mexico and Central America who have fled extreme poverty, violence, and/or dangerous environments” (Website).

I was able to serve with my husband, reunite with my Wellesley sisters and the people from our Boston church, for the annual MdC Medical Fair (medical, vision, dental). What a great organization and amazing work they are doing in the community. This was a different kind of poverty. The streets were not paved, no street signs, just endless sand/dirt/dust everywhere, in the desert. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t go for a run or walk due to too much dust and fear of getting lost. All of the streets look the same! The people were so kind and generous. The MdC group is so amazing. Providing hope in an area where it’s impossible to have any. Hearing the stories over the years, they are making a huge difference in the community especially in providing education through their school. We were so fortunate to have cooler than usual weather in the low 90s!
