To all,
The last few months have been very trying for us and I know we all pray for a return to normal—a new normal to say the least. We are committed to do whatever we can to address that new normal.
Infection control is paramount to a dental practice because of the environment in which we practice. We have been in the process of analyzing all the new information from the American Dental Association (ADA), the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) relevant to protection of everyone through stringent infection control practices. Please feel comfortable in the fact that we have our infection control measures current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendation.
At you next appointment please be aware of the following changes you will encounter:
-Our office will communicate with you beforehand to set up you next appointment and ask some screening questions. These same questions will be asked when you enter the office.
-Hand sanitizer will be available when you enter the office for your use.
-Your temperature will be taken when you enter the dental office.
-The waiting room will no longer have magazines.
-Appointments will be arranged to promote social distancing. Unless necessary, as with a minor or someone needing assistance, we ask that only the patient enter the dental office.
-To the extent practical we ask that you call us when you arrive in the office parking lot and wait for a return call to enter the dental office. This may be cumbersome but be assured that we will do our best to make this work in order to reduce as much social interaction as possible.
We have missed seeing and interacting with you since the State Health Department issued the Stay Order. I hope all of you have “made it through” this anomaly and we hope to see you soon. We get great satisfaction in being your dental provider and assisting you in keeping good dental health. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.
We are available to answer your questions and will be calling soon to see if you are ready to schedule. Our plan is to open after the Governor’s Stay Order is lifted and we enter Phase One Reopening. We anticipate opening on Monday May 18, 2020.
Sincerely,
Dr. Guey

A message to all our current and new patients,
We are living in a time we have not experienced due to the presence of Covid-19 known as the Coronavirus. As always my office will continue to follow all universal precautions and sterilization protocols mandated in order to prevent the spread of any disease but due to the uncertainties brought about by the Covid-19 we are asking everyone to bear with us as we set additional office protocols we feel are necessary to protect us all.
We do not know if any future recommendations are forthcoming but if any are recommended, we will comply and advise. Whether this ends up with a lockdown of service, time will only tell. Any future updates will be distributed to the best of our ability.
- We ask that everyone either wash their hands or use hand sanitizer we have available in the office before entering the clinic area.
- We will do our best to minimize the number of patients in our waiting room. To assist us in reducing the number of people in the office at any given time, we ask that you bring only essential friends or family members to your appointment. Children will be allowed to bring only one family member to the clinic area. All magazines will be removed from the waiting room.
- Practice social distancing to the best of your ability when coming to the office. We will do the same. If you would rather remain in your vehicle until we are ready for you, please advise us immediately. Call to let us know you are arrive, and we will call you when we are ready.
- If anyone in your family is experiencing any symptoms of illness such as cough or fever, please notify us immediately. If you think you may have been exposed to the virus or if you have been out of the country or on a cruise in the last 14 days, please let us know. We will reschedule your appointment. We will take your temperature before we begin any procedures. If your temperature is 99.9 degrees or above we will reschedule your appointment.
Please call us if you have any questions. I don’t know what tomorrow brings as far as additional mandates or recommendations from our health officials. We will get through this but in the meantime, I want you to be comfortable and wise when getting your dental needs met. Our doors are open and plan to remain open.
Sincerely

Dr. Guey
