Good Morning!
The last few months have been a very challenging time for our office and our community. We could have never imagined that we would be mandated to close, especially due to a pandemic (hurricanes, yes -- but a Pandemic?). We appreciate your patience as we have navigated what returning to normal will look like at our practice. At this time, and for the remainder of May, we will begin to see limited emergencies. If you have contacted us during the closure, rest assured you are first on our list and we will be in contact with you soon. Your safety, and the safety of my team is my number one concern. I welcome your questions, and will make myself available to address your concerns.
IF YOU MISSED YOUR CLEANING APPOINTMENT DURING THE CLOSURE, AND YOU WANT TO RESCHEDULE -- NOW is the time to reach out to our office. We will resume cleanings in June. We would like to get an idea how many patients will need an appointment so we can change and increase the current schedule to accommodate demand.
Things will look and feel different when you return to our office. We will be pre-screening our patients by phone and repeating this screening for Covid-19 risk when you enter our office as well as taking your temperature (touchless). Our staff will be screened twice daily as well. New glass barriers will be at the front desk to protect patients and team. Unless you require assistance, you are asked to come alone for your appointment. If you require a driver or helper, they will be asked to stay in their vehicle, as our waiting room will be closed. When you arrive in our parking lot, please call the front desk and we will meet you at the office door. All patients must wear a mask except when we are working in your mouth. Payments will be made touchless, via phone when possible, either before or after your appointments. To comply with OSHA and CDC guidelines, our team will be wearing new Personal Protective Equipment to keep us all safe. Our operatories have been fitted with HEPA filters to clean the air 6x and hour. The way we do certain procedures will look and feel different in order to minimize risk to patient and team, and this will be challenging so we appreciate your patience. The respirators we are wearing make it difficult to talk and breathe so we encourage you to ask questions via phone before we see you in the office. We will do our best to answer questions chairside, but small talk with be kept to a minimum. I look forward to seeing you all again, and once again thank you for your support.
