Cavities don’t always cause noticeable pain right away. 🦷

Once a cavity has formed, a dental filling is a common treatment used to repair the tooth. The decayed tooth tissue is removed, and the area is restored with a filling material.

Very early tooth decay may sometimes be stopped or reversed before a cavity forms, which is one reason regular dental exams are important. If you’ve noticed sensitivity, discomfort, or it has simply been a while since your last exam, a dental evaluation can help determine what’s going on and whether treatment is needed.

Persistent tooth pain or lingering sensitivity shouldn’t be ignored. 🦷

When the pulp inside a tooth becomes inflamed or infected, root canal therapy may be recommended to help preserve the natural tooth.

During treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned and shaped, and the canals are filled and sealed. Depending on the tooth, a filling or crown may then be used to help protect and restore it.

If you’re experiencing persistent tooth pain, lingering sensitivity to hot or cold, or discomfort when biting, a dental evaluation can help determine the cause and the appropriate treatment.

Missing a tooth? 🦷 Dental implants are one treatment option for replacing missing teeth and restoring function.

A dental implant replaces the missing tooth root and can support a natural-looking restoration. Once healed, implants can help improve chewing and may also help preserve bone in the area where a tooth has been lost.

Dental implants aren’t the right choice for everyone. Your bone, gums, overall health, and the condition of the surrounding teeth all need to be evaluated before deciding which replacement option is appropriate.

If you’re living with a missing tooth, we can evaluate the area and discuss the treatment options available to you.

Bleeding gums are worth paying attention to. 🦷

Red, swollen, tender, or easily bleeding gums can be signs of gingivitis or gum disease. Plaque buildup can irritate the gums, and once plaque hardens into tartar, it requires professional removal.

If bleeding keeps happening—or you also notice gum swelling, recession, tenderness, or persistent bad breath—a dental evaluation can help identify the cause and determine the appropriate next step.

At Soft Touch Dental – Bee Cave, we can evaluate your gum health and discuss care based on what we find.

A damaged or weakened tooth doesn’t always mean it has to be removed. 🦷

Depending on the condition of the tooth, a dental crown may be recommended to cover and protect weakened tooth structure while helping restore shape and chewing function. Crowns may be considered for teeth with significant wear, cracks, or large existing restorations.

The right treatment depends on a dental exam and how much healthy tooth structure remains.

If a tooth feels cracked, is sore when you bite, or has a large old filling, an evaluation can help determine the appropriate next step.

Is it time to get your dental care back on track? 🦷

Regular dental visits give your dentist an opportunity to check your teeth and gums, identify potential concerns, and recommend care based on what they find. Professional cleanings also help remove plaque and tartar that regular brushing and flossing may leave behind.

Whether you’ve stayed on schedule or it’s been a while since your last visit, we’d be happy to see you at Soft Touch Dental – Bee Cave.

Ready to schedule your next dental visit? Give us a call.

Does a sip of ice water or a hot cup of coffee make your teeth uncomfortable? 🦷

Tooth sensitivity can have several possible causes, including worn enamel, exposed root surfaces, tooth decay, cracks, or other dental conditions. Because the cause matters, persistent or worsening sensitivity is worth having evaluated rather than simply guessing what’s behind it.

At Soft Touch Dental – Bee Cave, we can examine the area and discuss appropriate treatment options based on what we find.
