Last call: winners are drawn October 1, so this is your final chance to put a teacher's name in.

Ms. Blankenship at Maxwell Hill Elementary School: "Her dedication to her students! She identified there was an issue within 3 weeks and had families on the right path to help. She stood up for her students and became their voice. Thanks to her unwavering support and refusal to give up, she changed students' lives and made them believe in themselves. She deserves so much!"

And for Ms. Roop at Woodrow Wilson High School: "Passionate about her students and meeting their needs. Goes above and beyond to make sure they have what they need while ensuring they are safe and loved. Dedicated to her students and families. A difference maker."

Notes like these are why we started this. If there's a teacher who deserves one, don't wait: nominating takes about 20 seconds, their name, their school, their email. One teacher wins a $1,000 classroom makeover, and six more win $250 to spend on whatever their room actually needs.

Teachers, you can nominate yourself too. Don't miss your shot.

Two more teachers to recognize and thank!

For Mr. Wood at Oak Hill Middle School: "He is extremely intentional about going above and beyond in his teaching. He connects with kids on their level and will teach them however best THEY learn. He makes middle school English fun, even if it means being goofy, so the information clicks. He makes sure every student is seen and valued, and he instills confidence in his students."

And for Ms. Brooks at Fairdale Elementary School: "She is hardworking and dedicated to her students."

Only ONE WEEK left to nominate!

So hurry and put your favorite teachers' names in! It only takes about 20 seconds.

Two more teachers somebody took the time to celebrate.

Ms. Meadows at Maxwell Hill Elementary: "Amanda is the reading whisperer. She insists that all her students can read and will love to read. She searches high and low to find those books that will appeal to each child in the third grade."

And Ms. Gilfilin at Marsh Fork Elementary: "I worked in the same room as her for one year and I've never seen a teacher truly work as hard as she does."

We'll keep sharing these as they come in. If you've already nominated someone, thank you. Keep an eye out, their name might be next.

Every teacher nomination that comes in makes our whole office stop and smile. Here are two more. 😊

For Mr. Dyer at New River Primary: "I will NEVER forget the story he shared of a young special needs girl who crawled into his arms during school and fell asleep. And so he sat there and held her as long as she wanted him to... because for her it was the SAFEST, most COMFORTABLE place she could find. His compassion and empathy shine through like a beacon to these kiddos." ❤️

And for Ms. Reeves at Mabscott Elementary: "She is great at teaching and explaining things to her students and her classroom is always warm and inviting." 🍎
