We are pleased to announce that we are now open & seeing patients in our office for all services. It has been a privilege to care for our community's emergency needs during these trying times. Our TFD team is here to provide a full range of care to ensure you are at the peak of dental health.

Here are few pictures of safety changes to our office to ensure we can keep our staff and the patients safe during your next visit :)

The health and safety of our staff and patients is our utmost importance to us. As result, we have implemented the following changes:

*Increased sterilization & wipe-down protocols

*Added air disinfecting purifiers to reduce airborne contaminants

*Best available appropriate PPE use of face shield, respirator masks, gowns & gloves

*Maintaining social distancing: reduced wait time in reception area, 6-feet seating arrangements, stay-in-car policy

*Special hours of operation for seniors & medically compromised patients

Additionally, We are screening patients in advance for everyone's safety and if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms related to a virus, please contact your primary care physician prior to your appointment.

To Our Patients at Tanasbourne Family Dental

Our tentative plan is to reopen our office for all appointments beginning May 26th with a phased approach during this unprecedented time of COVID-19 pandemic. We want to keep you informed of some of the steps we’re taking and things you can expect when you arrive for your appointment, as well as some things that we ask of you in order to help us create a safe environment for all. We are seeing patients on an emergent basis and hygiene will start once all personal protective equipment has arrived which is on back order.

*Please wear a mask to your appointment. We also ask that you arrive for your appointment at your scheduled time to minimize the number of patients in our office at any given time. When you arrive please wait outside the office door and someone will come get you; we will go through our questionnaire with you and take your temperature with a temporal thermometer (temps over 100.4 degrees F will require us to reschedule your appointment) then take you straight back to the operatory. No one other than the patient will be allowed into the office including children.

*We will be doing daily, ongoing screening of our employees to ensure our staff are healthy when treating you.

*To minimize viral transmission in our office, we have removed objects that are difficult to regularly sanitize, such as magazines, toys and the coffee maker. We have also closed our in-office restroom temporarily. The restroom in the hallway remains open.

*Our team will be using the best available and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for your appointment. We apologize in advance for the intense appearance as we may be wearing N95 mask, face shields and surgical gowns which may be frightening to children. We will continue to follow our strict sterilization and disinfection protocols between patients.

*During all appointments at this time we will be doing our best to minimize aerosols. Your appointment may look different as cavitron/ultrasonic use and elective polishing may not occur. This is to protect you, your dental health care provider and other patients in the office.

If you already have an existing appointment for after May 26th, we may reach out as we try to adjust the schedule to minimize overlap, confirm your appointment and go over any questions. Please give us a call or email if you would like to make any changes to your appointment or to setup a new one. (We have a list of the patients that have called already or patients we had to cancel and will be calling you very soon). Please understand, we do have a large volume of calls and emails to address and we will do our best to return them in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience and understanding of the changes as we try to exercise an abundance of caution in these early stages of reopening. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back.

COVID-19 Tanasbourne Family Dental Office Update:

As you may have heard, the governor has lifted the restrictions on non-emergent and elective dental treatments as of May 1st. Our office is working diligently to order all the necessary personal protective equipment and working out the new COVID-19 safety protocols in order to keep us all as safe as possible during this unprecedented time. If all goes well, we will re-open our office for non-emergent and elective treatments by May 18th.

Please stay tuned for the next update as we hope to have few pictures of our new guidelines and protocols :)

Coronavirus/COVID-19 CLOSURE:

The health and safety of our patients and staff are of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we have made the very difficult decision to close our office in an effort to slow the spread of the virus. As always, we will remain available for emergencies by phone and text if appropriate.
