😬 3 Signs You Might Be Grinding Your Teeth

Do you wake up with a sore jaw or a headache and wonder why? You could be grinding or clenching your teeth, often without even realizing it!

Bruxism is the dental term for grinding or clenching your teeth, and it can happen while you're awake or asleep.

Here are 3 signs to watch for:
🦷 Jaw soreness or tightness — especially when you wake up
🤕 Morning headaches — particularly around your temples or forehead
😁 Worn, chipped, or sensitive teeth — grinding can put extra stress on your teeth

Back-to-school season means packing lunches, snacks, and lots of busy-day fuel! But did you know some of your favorite lunchbox foods can be great for your smile, too?

Try adding some tooth-friendly choices like:

🧀 Cheese — helps strengthen teeth and is a great source of calcium
🥛 Yogurt — packed with calcium and protein
🥕 Crunchy veggies — a healthy, satisfying snack
🥜 Nuts — a protein-packed option with little added sugar
💧 Water — the best drink choice for keeping little smiles hydrated

And remember, foods and drinks high in added sugar can increase the risk of cavities. When possible, choose whole, nutritious foods and make water the go-to drink!
