🦷 HOW LONG DOES RECOVERY REALLY TAKE AFTER WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL? 👀
Every patient heals differently, but here’s a general timeline of what most people can expect after wisdom teeth surgery:
📍 Days 1–3
This is usually when swelling, soreness, and discomfort peak. Rest, ice packs, hydration, and soft foods are your best friends during this stage.
📍 Days 4–7
Most patients start feeling MUCH better around this time. Swelling begins to go down, and many people are able to return to school or work depending on their procedure.
📍 Week 2
The gums continue healing, soreness improves significantly, and normal eating slowly becomes easier.
📍 Full Healing
While you may feel back to normal sooner, the extraction sites can continue healing beneath the surface for several weeks.
✨ Helpful Recovery Tips:
✔️ Follow post-op instructions
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Eat soft foods
✔️ Avoid straws/smoking/vaping
✔️ Rest as much as possible
If you have increased pain, swelling, fever, or concerns during recovery, contact your oral surgeon’s office right away.
