New 5.0-star Review: "In March 2024 had my first dental implant by Dr. Syed Khaled, Baytown Periodontics and Dental Implantology. I live in Houston Area and drove to Baytown because he was recommended to me by my Dentist. He had to pull the old tooth on top right-side. It was a tooth that didn't want to come out easily. But Dr. Khaled did an outstanding job of getting it removed. He then implanted the base for the post that will hold the new crown. He had deaden the tooth very well so no pain. Just normal discomfort. They placed a couple of stitches in my mouth and the entire procedure took about 1 hours or so. Deading was beginning to wear off on the way home, but still no pain, but a little discomfort. Advised not to chew, floss or brush in that area for two weeks. Did get a prescription for pain pills that I filled and I didn't need to use any of the pain pills. Did take 2 tylenol every 6 hours for a few days as recommended. Also was given Cipro Antibiotics 500 mg for 10 days or so. I never had any problems other than some discomfort, not really pain, for a few days. Came back in two weeks and got the stitches removed. Go back in about 3 months to Dr. Khaled to uncover the implant to uncover the implant and install the post for the new crown. That is supposed to take 30-40 minutes. Then let that procedure heal for about a couple of weeks. Then go to my regular Dentist to get the crown installed. Everything has gone much better that I expected. Very satisfied. Dr. Khaled also has a wonderful and caring staff. I would certainly use him again and highly recommend him to everyone. Good Luck."
