Why You Never Leave the Dentist Without Scheduling Your Next Appointment?

1.You Have More Flexible Scheduling Options:
The closer you get to your checkup due date, the more challenging it is to find a day or time that fits your individual preferences. Especially if it’s something like first thing in the morning, over your lunch break, or at the end of the workday. Since our office is open slightly later than normal on Tuesdays and Thursdays, evening appointments tend to be some of the first ones that people like to reserve.

2.Time Gets Away From Us:
Scheduling can be challenging if you’re trying to book one at the last minute. When you wait to reserve an appointment, time quickly slips away from you. Before you know it, those six months turn into 12. By the time you think about visiting the dentist or hygienist again for a checkup, you may be looking at well over a year between visits.

We highly recommend reserving your next appointment while you’re here for the current one. Scheduling your dental cleaning ahead of time means you never get behind on your checkups — and time doesn’t get away from you — so that you can continually ensure the best for your smile.

3.Being proactive about your preventative dental care means you’re less at-risk for undiagnosed dental conditions.
The earlier dental issues are identified, the more conservative the treatment option will be. In turn, your cost of care will be much lower. Plus, less-invasive treatments also help to preserve as much healthy, intact tooth structure as possible.

Understand the Different Kinds of Dental Plans

There are several different types of dental insurance plans. Each will work differently in terms of out-of-pocket costs, benefits, deductibles, and so on. Generally, dental insurance plans are divided into the following categories:

1.Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO): Dental PPO plans are contracted so that members have access to a network of dentists who accept reduced fees for covered services. This means that members are subject to the lowest out-of-pocket costs when receiving treatment from an in-network dentist. The out-of-pocket cost that members do pay is a designated percentage of the reduced fee, called coinsurance. The plan then pays the remainder.


2.Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO): A DHMO provides lower cost coverage with a focus on preventive care. Members must use in-network dentists in order to obtain coverage (except in cases that a point of service provision allows them to opt out of the network at a reduced rate of coverage). The dentist network size of an DHMO plan is smaller than that of PPO, but the premium is also much lower, with a higher potential for savings.


3.Discount Plans: A discount plan allows members to choose from a panel of participating dentists who charge discounted fees for their services. Members pay these fees directly to the dentist at the time of treatment; no paperwork is necessary. Discount plans typically have a lower premium than PPO and Managed Fee for Service Plans.
