Thought I'd post that I am recuperating well from surgery and will be back in the office in a few weeks. I also need to let my Delta Dental patients know that as of October 31, 2021, I have resigned from being a participating Delta Dental dentist. Our office will still honor Delta Dental contracts through the end of the year.
I have only made this decision since Delta Dental has actually lowered reimbursement rates to our office. This in spite of the fact that they have not raised their reimbursements to us in over 5 years. In order for us to be able to maintain our level of care and service to you, we found it impossible to continue as a participating Delta Dental office.
This, however, should not change our relationship with you, our valued patients. We will still submit directly to Delta Dental for you and accept payment from them unless your plan directs them not to. You will be, as always, subject to copayments. In most cases, the difference in copayments will be negligible from what you already pay.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact our office. We hope that we can continue to serve you into the foreseeable future.

Yours truly, Scott M Dubowsky DMD

To all my patients and friends:

Just wanted you to know I had a little planned surgery and I will be out of the office through the end of October. I feel much better already and look forward to returning to work and all my other activities. I appreciate all of your kind thoughts and good wishes.

After 2 and 1/2 months of limited operations, our office is again open to take care of our community's oral health needs. While we are still going to delay purely cosmetic treatments for a little longer, we can resume all procedures designed to ensure and enhance your oral health. As of Monday, June 8th, we are scheduling appointments for our patients.
In order to assure that you can be safely treated, we have designed and implemented new protocols. Some of these will be evident while others will not.
Entry into our office will be by appointment only. We also ask that in most cases that only the treated patient appear for their appointment. Before coming to the office, please visit our website at www.drdubowsky.com and download the Covid 19 questionnaire. Fill it out before your visit and hand it in. Entry into the office will also require that a face mask be worn. If you are wearing gloves, you must remove them and all patients must either wash their hands or use provided hand sanitizer before proceeding to the treatment area. Before entering, we will take your temperature. When your treatment is completed, proceed to the reception area where new appointments and financial transactions can be made.
Please make every effort to be punctual about your appointment. We have found it necessary to allot signifcantly more time for each patient visit and that time is dedicated only to you. Hopefully, some of these restrictions will be lifted over time so please bear with us. We look forward to seeing you again.

Although Governor Murphy has renewed the emergency orders through June 7th. We may be able to open our office for more regular care a bit sooner. This is because of the aggressive infection control measures that dental offices already employ and new measures that we are taking. Dental offices have been using enhanced infection control procedures for decades in order to protect both patients and staff.
We take your concerns about being treated safely very seriously. When you return to our office, you will note that there will some changes. Some, like taking your temperature, will be obvious, while others, like our disinfection procedures, will not. In any case, we are going to be here for you throughout and after this pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to get in touch. If you have a dental emergency do not wait to contact us. As soon as we have further information, we will post it.

Yours truly, Scott M Dubowsky DMD FAGD

I hope this email finds you and your family in good health. With all of the recent developments with the Coronavirus (Covid-19) issue, you may not have thought much about the effect on visits to our office for dental care. The most recent recommendations from professional sources are that we should limit visits to our office to essential dental care. This is mainly due to the severe shortage of the protective gear that we wear (masks, gloves, etc) This means that we will still be available for dental problems that require immediate attention but routine care is being deferred.
We are in the process of contacting those of you who have visits scheduled in the near future in order to postpone those visits until public health officials signal that the incidence of viral infection has been mitigated and supplies of gloves and masks are again regularly available.

We are confident in our ability to safely treat those patients in our office that need care. In addition to the infection control measures that we have employed for years, we are also taking the extra steps to regularly disinfect, the non-clinical, public areas of the office. If, at any time, you need to contact us or have any questions, please feel free to call, text, or email. These are unusual times that are testing our mettle, but I know that, together, we can get through it.

Yours truly,
Scott M Dubowsky DMD
