There are many reasons why baby teeth may need to be removed!

In this case, our patient had what we call shark teeth (overretained), where permanent teeth grew behind the baby teeth that didn't dissolve roots properly, preventing them from loosening. Additionally, there was not enough space for the incoming teeth, so some help was needed to create room.
