In 1984, he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the LSU School of Dentistry. Dr. Hester received numerous academic awards including the Outstanding Achievement Award for Dental Study from the International College of Dentists. He is also a member of the Edmund C. Kells Dental Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Dentist
ry. From 2003-2005, Dr. Hester served as President and Board Member of the LSUSD Alumni Association. He is a current board member and President of the East Baton Rouge Lions Club and a founding member of the East Baton Rouge Lions Charities, Inc. Dr. Hester is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, the East Baton Rouge Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Orthodontic Society. He has been married for 30 years to his wife, Lisa, who is a local pharmacist. Dr. Hester's hobbies include tennis, fishing, golf, and motorcycling.
